This stunning villa typifies the very best the Amalfi coast has to offer. Set in a truly privileged position on the promontory, every level offers uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean sea and the Praiano headland. As you approach the villa down a flight of tree-lined steps and through a flower-filled garden onto the upper terrace, you are welcomed with glorious views. Surrounding the house are several large terraces that make the most of the breathtaking setting. Continue descending and you will reach the impressive sea-water pool, carved into the rock just above sea level. A private mooring alongside means you can access the villa directly by boat if you prefer. An ideal holiday retreat!

The ‘Amalfi Drive’ is said to be the most spectacular road in Europe, running from Sorrento across the peninsula and along the coast to Salerno, but it is not for the faint-hearted, and you may prefer to arrive or travel around by boat. As well as the private mooring at the villa you can easily access the many hydrofoils and ferries which link the villages along the peninsula with Capri, Naples and the less developed Cilento coast further south. Owing to the steep terrain, many of the villages are mostly pedestrian and therefore best seen on foot. Quaint shops line the narrow streets and restaurants serve a variety of local produce, including of course wonderful seafood dishes.

There are many trips which run from nearby Sorrento: a day trip to the islands of Capri or Ischia is a must, as is a visit to fascinating Pompei where excavations begun in the 18th century are still ongoing, or a visit to Mount Vesuvius where you can climb up to the crater and admire the views over the Bay of Naples.

Large, enclosed, steeply terraced grounds with rocky steps down to access the pool - and ladder to access sea (strong swimmers only). Private mooring. 23m x 6m shaped, salt water pool with separate children's pool, both carved into the rock just above sea level (depth from 20cm – 1m in children’s pool and up to 3m in main pool). Garden and lawn on upper/entrance level of villa. Pond. Ample outdoor living and dining space on terraces overlooking the sea. Summer kitchen with sink, fridge, dishwasher, gas built-in barbecue. Parking for up to 4 cars.

The housekeeper lives in a separate building on the property.
Owing to the nature of the grounds we do not recommend this villa for young children.
