Villa Bougainvillea

Villa Bougainvillea is situated in a very quiet position, high in the village of Positano, the center of the Costiera Amalfitana. Internationally renowned as an important tourist and commercial resort, the area is often visited by royalty, dignitaries and celebrities. Positano is easily accessible by rail and road, and has a small harbor where it is possible to take ferries to the islands of Capri and Ischia. 

This property, offering spectacular views, takes its name from the beautiful, terraced garden to the front of the house, which is almost unique in a steep village like Positano. The interiors of the villa are comfortably furnished and facilities include wi-fi internet connection, a fax machine and satellite TV. A particular feature of the house is the very light sitting and dining rooms, which open through French windows to a beautiful terrace overlooking the garden and the sea. There, it is possibile to arrange cooking services on a daily or weekly basis. 

This property is located in the historical part of Positano and therefore not reachable by car. Access to the property like most villas in Positano is by many steps.  There are approximately 105 steps down to the villa but are relatively easy, both up and down, due to the construction of the steps and long landings. The maximum steps at one time is 13.  The nearest parking area is at approximately 300 meters away, and parking spaces can be arranged in advance. From a narrow, winding road it is possible to walk down to the town center as well as the main Fornillo beach. There is also a small beach just below the villa and is accessible by 350 steps - a good daily workout! It is also possible to have air conditioning in the bedrooms at extra cost. 

The owner spends a few weeks of the year in an independent apartment in the lower ground floor.

Ground Floor: Entrance hall. Dining room; sitting room with fireplace. All these rooms open through french windows to a large terrace overlooking the garden and the sea; Kitchen; bathroom (shower only). An extra double bedroom is available at extra cost. 

First Floor: Master suite composed by double bedroom, small sitting room and bathroom (bath & shower); twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath & shower); twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only); double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only). All bedrooms have a private terrace.

Maid service is included 3 hours per day, 5 days a week.
