![]() ![]() Catching cooling breezes on its quiet hillside, Villa Benvenuto basks in mature Mediterranean gardens, where vivid shrubs hem lovely lawns, flowers spill from tubs and borders, and outdoor living is encouraged with sundowner seating in a curtained gazebo, and a pizza oven and barbecue to make light work of long lunches. Close to the gazebo and privately screened in greenery, an inviting half-moon pool forms the focal point of the garden; while, adjoining the house, a covered terrace is furnished for al fresco dining, its broad arches framing brilliant views of the bay. The villa itself is a comfortable blend of old and new. Largely furnished in traditional regional style, it has WiFi and air conditioning throughout, and a large-screen satellite TV in the open-plan sitting/dining room. The three uncluttered bedrooms are on the upper floor all with wonderful sea views, the two doubles and one twin room each with its own shower room and doors to a sea view balcony. Just 2km/1.5 miles from the myriad shops and eateries in Sorrento center, the villa is a 400 meter stroll from a café and restaurant, and from a bus stop for exploration further afield.

BEACHES: Rocky beach 500m, Sandy beach 1.5km The closest beach is I Bagni della Regina Giovanna (The baths of Queen Joan). It consists of a beautiful rocky beach close to where you can still admire the ruins of an ancient Roman villa. To reach this piece of jagged coastline that overlooks the sea, you need to walk a short and quite easy trail which departs from Capo di Sorrento. The beach is not suitable for children but compensates by offering a crystal clear sea which is impossible to resist.
The closest sandy beach, suitable for children and reached directly by car is the beach of Puolo. Formed in part by pebbles and in part by sand, the beach is equipped with paid parking, a restaurant and bar. Please Note: There is a lower grond floor where Theresa, the warm and wonderful housekeeper lives. She is there when you need her assistance but is also very discreet.
